Who We Serve

Where We Serve

Indigital Relations was built for Northwestern Ontario — a region defined not by a single boundary, but by the many First Nations communities, Treaty territories, and hub cities that make it home.

Our Region

Northwestern Ontario stretches from the north shore of Lake Superior to the Hudson Bay lowlands, and from the Manitoba border east toward Lake Nipigon. It is home to dozens of First Nations communities — some road-accessible, many fly-in — spanning Treaty 3, Treaty 9, the Ontario portion of Treaty 5, and the Robinson-Superior Treaty.

We built Indigital Relations to connect these communities — no matter how remote — to the employment, training, education, event, and news opportunities that too often stay concentrated in the region's larger centres.

Our Hub Cities

Five regional hubs anchor our work:

  • Thunder Bay — the region's largest urban centre and a gathering point for many First Nations organizations

  • Dryden

  • Kenora

  • Sioux Lookout — a key service and transportation hub for northern fly-in communities

  • Fort Frances

These cities aren't the whole story — they're the connective points where opportunity, transportation, and community intersect for the wider region.

Treaty Territories We Serve

  • Robinson-Superior Treaty (1850) — communities along the north shore of Lake Superior

  • Treaty 3 (1873) — communities across the Lake of the Woods and Rainy River region, represented by Grand Council Treaty #3

  • Treaty 9 (1905/1929) — communities across much of the northern reaches of the region, represented in part by Nishnawbe Aski Nation

  • Treaty 5 (Ontario portion, 1875/1910) — communities in the far northwest

A Living, Evolving List

Every community in Northwestern Ontario has its own history, governance, and relationship to these Treaties — and that context belongs to the communities themselves, not to us. Indigital Relations aims to reflect that accurately and respectfully, and we welcome corrections, additions, and guidance from Nations, Tribal Councils, and Treaty organizations as we continue to grow.

If you represent a community, Tribal Council, or Treaty organization and would like to confirm how you're represented on Indigital Relations, please reach out — we want to get this right.
